The Polytechnic

The Polytechnic is RPI's weekly, student run newspaper. Since my very first semester at RPI, I've been in charge of updating the newspaper's web site each week. I'd been pushing for a redesign of the site almost since I first became Web Coordinator, and this summer my plans finally came to fruition.

The new Polytechnic Online site debuted in the Fall 2000 semester. It runs on a new, more flexible database system, has cleaner naviagtion, a more modern look, and will support many more features than the old site. Hopefully, with this new site, we will be better able to serve the needs of The Poly's online readership.
